WHAT IS THE GCN?
CCWM's Global Church Network is a relational network seeking to build bridges of communication; between churches which otherwise may be isolated and without local connections, or lacking in biblical knowledge, spiritual guidance and oversight.
It is our vision to see churches in unison across villages, towns, cities and countries; working together for the good of their communities and God's glory.
Current Word of Encouragement to our Global Church Network around the world.
From Rev. Julie Shannon (Five-Fold Apostle) 10/03/2010
I have recently done a teaching series on spiritual gifts in our local church; we
have been talking about this workshop that is coming up for ages. I find it
interesting that people can have such a variety of responses to the same
thing. Some people have been really
excited about finding out how God made them; they are discussing their passions
and desires and what they believe they are gifted and called to do
already. Others however have been very
negative; this negativity comes from a variety of sources but more often than
not it’s because people can struggle to believe that there is anything good for
them. They struggle to grasp the truth
that God would want to give them a
gift in the first place, and to believe that he would also want them to use the
gift to help others seems near impossible.
Sadly
the way we look at ourselves has been colored by our past; by the way we have
been spoken to, touched looked at or even overlooked. Our earthly parents or adult carers were our
point of reference that gave us our opinions about ourselves. School years with the ups and downs of
friends and foes often only compounded these beliefs, with our adulthood
experiences often crying “I told you so” when we have been let down or rejected
by others. It’s no co-incidence that the Apostle Paul told us to: Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but
be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to
test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans
12:2. NIV. He knew full well about
pain, trauma and betrayal. Jesus also knows what humans can do to others and
how it affects our whole lives. That’s
why he came to earth, he came to set us free form the chains of our past, from
the memories that haunt us and the words that shaped how we feel about
ourselves. You see salvation doesn’t
just get you a ticket into eternal life; it brings hope for a future here on
earth. It shouts above the words that
bruised and cut deep as you grew up. It brings
a supernatural transformation and healing from the inside out if you allow
Jesus to go into those places you dare not revisit because of the pain they
hold.
Trust
that God knows you best, he knows who you were born to be, and he also knows
what has tried to rob you of the truth about yourself. Allow him into bring the
things of the past to the surface just enough for you to ask him to help, heal
and restore. He won’t let you down; he won’t
leave you nor forsake you. He is a safe
bet and your only real hope of freedom.
You
are loved!!
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe in…
1. The One, living God eternally existing in three persons in complete unity; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
2. The
virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, triumphant resurrection,
ascension and faithful intercession of our Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ. His second coming and eternal reign. Justification and
sanctification of believers through the completed work of Jesus Christ.
3. The
crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the purpose of
bringing eternal freedom and life to those who make a faith decision to
believe in him. This because of the inherent corruptness of humanity
through the fall, which requires divine atonement. Through Jesus
Christ, the prevenient grace of God makes it possible for all to
believe, to be forgiven of sin and be saved.
4. The divine inspiration and authority of Holy Scripture.
5. The sacraments of; Baptism by immersion and of Communion.
6. The
believer’s baptism of the Holy Spirit that results in spiritual gifts
with signs following, for the use of the church and growth of Christ’s
kingdom.
7. Church government,
ministry and administration by apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors
and teachers. With elders to be appointed and approved of at the
appropriate times by those with the five fold ministry anointing.
8. The heart principle of giving and bringing offerings to the Lord.
9. An
Egalitarian view which holds that men and women were created equal with
differences and that either may be gifted through Gods grace to any
position in Church leadership or ministry. That all believers are
called to fulfil the great commission according to Mathew 28: 18-20.
10.
The return of Jesus Christ, the bodily resurrection of the dead – of a
final judgment of the saved to eternal blessedness, and the lost to
everlasting separation from God in Hell.
GCN ACCOUNTABILITY & STRUCTURE
ROLES AND DEFINITIONS
CCWM recognizes that the role of The Global Church Director is held by an Apostle that works within a team of other five- fold ministers also known as Assistant Directors.
These people are recognized by the board of CCWM as displaying the fruit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit being called by Jesus Christ to these roles.
Within the CCWM Global Church Network all Overseeing Five- fold minister’s roles are known as Field Director as they govern within a macro geographical region.
Within the CCWM Global Church Network all Regional five-fold Ministers are known as Regional Coordinators as they govern within their region(s).
We believe that Christian leadership should be team based using the five-fold biblical model.
We believe that apostles and prophets should work together to build the foundation of Christ’s church, with Him as head and cornerstone. We believe God will raise up people from each five-fold ministry area to work together and have spiritual authority within both
Macro and single regions to build Gods Kingdom.
